The Student Technology Leadership Program in Kentucky hosts an annual championship to celebrate tech solutions envisioned by students. This year, it was held at Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington, a large venue composed of several buildings and spaces. The mapmaker from STLP simplified this complex venue through the use of a variety of Mappedin tools. By labeling entrances and indicating where they lead, the mapmaker made navigating from one building to another understandable and more seamless. To identify how spaces are generally subdivided, the map utilizes the Point feature. In addition, creative uses of objects help highlight seating, stages, and concession areas in an open and large space. Connections (stairs and elevators) between all levels allow visitors to easily navigate from one floor to another.
