A year like no other, 2020 offered us all new challenges and perspectives. We worked with our customers on exciting innovations to help them and their visitors navigate an adapted indoors while bringing indoor mapping experiences to new venues and industries around the world.
Mappedin update - Q4 2020
This blog will focus on our work over the past year in developing new products, creating new features, and working with some exciting new venues. Contact us today to learn more.
101 launches
Last year we continued to make indoor venues all over the world more discoverable with intuitive location-based experiences for visitors. In 2020, we launched 101 new venue maps with lots more planned for this year!
Return to office readiness with ServiceNow integration
Mappedin and ServiceNow, the leading digital workflow company, are providing incredible indoor mapping capabilities alongside ServiceNow’s Workplace Service Delivery solution. This integration provides ServiceNow customers with a single sign on between the Workplace Service Delivery solution and Mappedin’s Map Editor. Property managers can edit floor plans in real-time and publish those changes to their maps and wayfinding experiences while employees can reserve office spaces and more using an interactive floor map. To learn more about this integration, read the press release.
A sigh of release
In 2020, we launched 5 new products and released over 30 new features! Here are some of the highlights.
New web solution for stadiums
We created a solution tailored for stadiums that includes helpful features such as “Save my section” and seat view gallery photos.
Responsive Web app V2
We’ve launched a brand new look for our web product! Users exploring this solution from their browser can now review deals and top locations from the map and customers using our Mobile Pass feature will notice a seamless handoff from directory to web.
Digital Directory V2
A fresh new design for our directory solution makes it even easier to see everything a venue has to offer and populate directions quickly. We’ve also developed new innovations such as:
- DooH + Wayfinding which allows our customers to display advertising and monetize their directory screens.
- Voice Assist to enable a completely contactless experience with the directory and allow users to explore the venue and generate directions using voice commands.
Open sourced contact monitoring solution
This year we launched an open sourced contact monitoring solution that includes native mobile SDKs, an ingestion API, and a dashboard. This tool enables employers and other service providers to track and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
IMDF exporter for Apple maps
We also released our new IMDF exporter which allows Mappedin customers to easily convert digital maps within our CMS to an Apple-ready format for blue dot enablement at your venue.
Features for venue reopening
Among the 30 new features built this year were ones specific to safe and efficient venue re-openings. These included the ability to link curbside pickup locations to a store, deep link integrations for users to reserve a spot in line, make a reservation, and more, along with a touchless directions QR code featured on the start screen of your map. Learn more about these and other features in our Return to Retail blog.
